Job Description

Job Summary:&nbsp; The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical support in the operation and maintenance of the organisations ICT infrastructure, under the supervision and direction of senior personnel. Key responsibilities include the installation and support of personal computers and related software, monitoring the organisations IT and network systems, assisting with the setup and maintenance of the computer room and networking infrastructure, and responding to IT incident reports and service requests.<o:p></o:p>

Key and Critical Responsibilities

<ul><li style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -24px;">&nbsp; &nbsp; Identify instances of security breaches or attacks on IT systems, networks, or personal computers, and take prompt action to mitigate potential damage in accordance with the organizations security policies. Apply established security controls to safeguard personal computers and ensure compliance with relevant protocols.</li><li style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -24px;">&nbsp; &nbsp; Install or remove hardware and/or software, using defined installation instructions and tools, test and correct malfunctions and document procedures used.</li><li style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -24px;">&nbsp; &nbsp; Monitor and document the delivery of ICT services to users in comparison to the standards outlined in service level agreements, and promptly notify supervisors of any deviations or breaches.</li><li style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -24px;">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Investigate minor security breaches with the IT infrastructure in accordance with established procedures, take defined corrective action.</li><li style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -24px;">&nbsp; &nbsp; Execute established routine operational procedures and assist in the maintenance, installation, and&nbsp; troubleshooting of the organisations IT systems to support efficient and reliable operations.<o:p></o:p></li><li style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -24px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Assist with the performance of regular backups and restore and track offsite storage, according to agreed operational procedures.</li><li style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -24px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Receive and handle service desk and incident management request.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 8pt; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 107%;">&nbsp; &nbsp; Perform other related duties assigned</li></ul>
