Job Description
This position is responsible for performing and assisting in the development of HR strategies, projects and initiatives such as developing and implementing policies, and procedures throughout the organization. The incumbent will assist in the processes of talent management, HR Reports, performance management and other administrative HR functions. He/she will be required to provide guidance and supervision to the positions reporting to the HRO II and provide support to the HR Manager and Line Managers through collaborative relationships.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<div> Provides relevant advice to Managers and staff on HR functional issues, including, but not limited to, planning and staffing, performance management, employee and labour relations, compensation and benefits, information management, organizational design and development, learning and development.</div><div> Provide guidance and supervision to the positions reporting to the HRO II and to support the HR Manager.</div><div> Ensures the timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll.</div><div> Provides support in the revision or development of HR Policies and Procedures.</div><div> Project manages the implementation of HR initiatives.</div><div> Ensures Employment Contracts, Job Descriptions and Performance Reviews are completed for all employees.</div><div> Provides support for the recruitment process, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent.</div><div> Makes presentations on needs and recommendations from data findings, which can be used to contribute to the development of HR solutions.</div><div> Provides consultation to all levels of staff on employee and work-related issues, career development, and employee welfare services.</div><div> Advises employees on work matters, career development, personal problems, industrial relations matters, and organizes employee welfare services, and social activities.</div><div> Performs special assignments and other related duties as required.</div>
Key Competencies
<div> Good working knowledge of Labour Laws of Trinidad and Tobago and HR best practices.</div><div> Working knowledge in performance management monitoring and reporting.</div><div> High degree of confidentiality.</div><div> Attention to detail; Problem solving skills; Solution oriented.</div><div> Customer Service/Team Oriented.</div><div> Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).</div><div> Excellent time management skills, with the ability to develop and track work schedules.</div><div><b>QUALIFICATIONS/ MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:</b></div><div><div> Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management/Business Administration.</div><div> Certification in Labour Laws or Alternative Dispute Resolution or related field.</div><div> Proficient in HRIS &amp; Payroll Software (Micro Pay).</div><div> At least five (5) years of supervisory experience of which three (3) years in human resources management.</div></div>
