Job Description
This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. <div> </div><div>The incumbent must have a sound understanding of government regulations as it pertains to accounting operation and payroll and will be required to perform simultaneous roles in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as it relates to TTAHIs year-end 31st December: and Government financial reporting as it relates to the Governments fiscal year-end 30th September. </div><div>The incumbent will assist the accountant and support the accounting department by performing various administrative and clerical tasks including data entry, maintaining financial records, general ledgers, accounts payables, receivables, vote book and payroll processes. The incumbent should be able to reconcile ledgers, including bank reconciliation and have a good understanding of financial statements.</div><div> </div><div><b>Minimum Requirement: CAT/FIA or Pursuing ACCA or Accounting Degree</b></div><div> </div>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
Accurately input financial data into accounting software and databases. <div> Maintain and update financial records (IFRS), ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely manner. </div><div> Assist in processing invoices, expense reports and payments to vendors. </div><div> Update fixed assets register with the guidance of the Accountant. </div><div> Help manage accounts receivables by generating invoices and following up on outstanding payments. </div><div> Preparation of bank reconciliation statements and resolution of accounting and financial discrepancies. </div><div> Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary schedules and documentation for the Line Ministry. </div><div> Prepare and maintain financial reports, summaries and logs as required. </div><div> Assist in the preparation of draft budgetary estimates and forecasts (IFRS). </div><div> Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents. </div><div> Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters. </div><div> Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations. </div><div> Assists in the preparation of Annual Draft Estimates for the Line Ministry. </div><div> Work with external stakeholders and assist in the preparation of audit schedules </div><div> Assist with preparation of management, budget reports and variance analysis. </div><div> Review government forms and documents inclusive of invoice orders, vote books and schedules. </div><div> Manage petty cash </div><div> Update fixed assets register with the guidance of the Accountant. </div><div> Check and review payroll and payment processes </div><div> Assist in the preparation of audit schedules by providing necessary documentation and support. </div><div> Perform any other related duties as required.</div>
Key Competencies
