Job Description
The Health, Safety and Environmental Assistant will aid in developing and implementing Safety and Health initiatives within the Company. The incumbent will assist the Health, Safety and Environmental Supervisor in ensuring that the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System is functional, effective and compliant with the relevant national legislation.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
- Conducts site visits to ensure adherence with safety requirements. <div>- Assists with developing and implementing recommendations/ corrective actions to prevent near miss and accident recurrence. </div><div>- Assists in ensuring that unsafe conditions are promptly addressed. </div><div>- Liaises with PSAEL's Site Representatives and other relevant personnel and assists in ensuring that hazards identified on jobsites are rectified within an acceptable time frame. </div><div>- Assists with conducting building inspections of PSAEL's offices to ensure adherence to safety requirements. </div><div>- Assists in conducting risk assessments and job safety analyses as required. </div><div>- Collates safety statistics and assists in conducting basic accident investigations. </div><div>- Assists in conducting safety awareness training for staff and contractors as required. </div><div>- Assists in conducting HSE audits as required. </div><div>- Reviews HSE documents and gives feedback as required. </div><div>- Prepares and disseminates HSE information as required. </div><div>- Prepares USE related reports and documents as requested by the USE Supervisor. </div><div>- Procures safety related items and maintains filing. </div><div>- Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Regulations. Performs any other duties to successfully achieve this job function. </div><div><br></div>
Key Competencies
