Job Description
The Civil Engineering Technician I will provide support on construction and maintenance projects conducted in various communities in accordance with the industry's specified guidelines and to meet client's requirements.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
- Assists with developing scope of works. <div>- Provides clarification for contractors relating to the scope of works. </div><div>- Coordinates the activities for obtaining work permits for projects by following up on requests and processing paper-work as directed by Area Project Supervisor. </div><div>- Assists with on-site supervision of contractors, and advises Area Project Supervisor on issues, delays and situations affecting projects' progress, including safety issues. </div><div>- Prepares Work Plans on a weekly basis. </div><div>- Accepts assignment to Special Projects as required. </div><div>- Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Regulations. </div><div>- Participates in development of Job Hazard Analyses. </div><div>- Assists with the preparation of reports on contractors' performance and project status for submission to Area Project Supervisor. </div><div>- Assists with the development of Quality Control Checklists. </div><div>- Conducts Quality Control Inspections. </div><div>- Assists with the preparation of reports and close-out documentation. </div><div>- Prepares a daily report for each job/project site visited. </div><div>- Performs any other duties that may be required to successfully achieve this job function.</div>
Key Competencies
