Job Description
The Director of Operations (DOO) reporting to the General Manager is the lead position under the Aircraft Operator Certificate (AOC) and is responsible for managing the full range of NHSLs operations function, ensuring safe and efficient service delivery to our clients whilst adhering to Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Regulations (TTCARs), industry and organisation requirements. The DOO leads, coaches, mentors and develops the staff of the Operations Department.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<p>Works closely with the Director of Maintenance (DOM) to ensure maintenance and flight operations are coordinated fully, efficiently and safely in executing the daily flight programme.</p><p><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Determines and maintains the core manpower levels, skill sets and competencies required among flight and ground crew to support effective departmental performance.</span></p><p></p><div>Identifies, evaluates and resolves issues regarding department inefficiency/ineffectiveness, recommends and implements action steps to support improvement within the function.</div><div><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;"><br></span></div><div><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Ensures the overall management of the department, its policies, procedures, systems and practices are relevant to support and maintain a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, whilst adhering to regulatory requirements.</span></div><div><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;"><br></span></div><div>Performs line check duties periodically and is able to fly at least 25% of the monthly pilot roster.</div><div><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;"><br></span></div><div><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Performs any other duties related to the job function as required.</span></div><p></p>
