Job Description
The Quality Inspector reporting to the Quality Manager supports the organisational quality goals by carrying out both quality inspections and quality audits on the company's aircraft, associated equipment and records in accordance with the TTCARs and current industry audit practices and procedures.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ol><li>Plans and executes quality inspections and audits in accordance with the audit plan.</li><li>Monitors compliance with, and adequacy of, the procedures required to ensure safe operational practices and airworthy aircraft of the organisation.</li><li>Verifies that standards required by the Authority and any additional requirements defined by the organisation are carried out by monitoring activities in the field of maintenance and or flight operations.</li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of aircraft maintenance or flight operations, airworthiness legislation and best industry practice as it affects the safe operation of the company's aircraft.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Assists in the coaching and mentoring of junior staff by ensuring that regulatory, company and industry best practice is observed.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Performing other duties related to the job function.</span></li></ol><p><br></p><p><br></p>
Key Competencies
<p>Five (5) C.X.C/G.C.E passes including Mathematics and English.</p><p>National Technicians Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or acceptable equivalent in relation to these qualifications.</p><p>A course related to Quality Auditing Techniques would be an asset.</p><p>Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence or acceptable equivalent.</p><p>At least three (3) years experience in Aviation maintenance or flight operations related activities.</p><p>One (1) year experience in returning an aircraft to service would be an asset.</p><p>Demonstrable knowledge of the AW139 aircraft and its related manuals and systems.</p><p>Sound knowledge of the TTCARs.</p><p>Demonstrable knowledge of aircraft systems, subsystems and component replacement.</p>
