Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Manager is responsible for compliance monitoring and ensuring that the procedures required for airworthy aircraft and safe operational practices are in keeping with both governing regulations and the established Quality Management System. The incumbent's primary role is to work collaboratively with all applicable stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of Flight & Ground Operations, Aircraft Maintenance, Training and Stores operate in keeping with the appropriate standards of the authority and company policy and procedures. Additionally, the incumbent must be able to foster a positive culture of compliance, accountability and continuous improvement.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ol><li>Manages the Quality System, ensures its continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements as it supports the effective functioning of the companys operations.</li><li>Ensures that all quality related policies and procedures detailed in the Operations, Quality and Maintenance manuals are adhered to and conduct ongoing compliance reviews to determine the currency, adequacy and effectiveness of the Quality System procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Formulates and executes the departments audit plan and manages the timely resolution of findings and the implementation of the appropriate corrective actions.</li><li>Determines and implements specific quality departmental goals which support the organisations strategy and its fiscal and operational objectives.</li><li>Liaises and represent NHSL as may be appropriate on matters related to the Quality System and its functioning with the regulatory authorities and other appropriate stakeholders.</li><li>Monitors all certificate renewals and grants authorisation to qualified individuals to issue the Certificate of Release to Service.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures the organisation holds all appropriate Technical Publications, specifications and drawings required for effective operations and these are updated and amended as required to maintain the appropriate compliance.</li><li>Assesses or audits suppliers and contractors to ensure that the product or service to be utilised meets the required standards of quality and safety.</li><li>Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with service companies, representatives from the Civil Aviation, other regulatory bodies, departmental managers and staff within the Company.</li><li>Trains, develops and evaluates staff within your charge.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties related to the job function.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><br></p>
Key Competencies
<p> Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence</p><p> Three (3) years experience in maintaining the same A/C Category and A/C Class used by the organisation including one (1) year in the capacity of returning an aircraft to service.</p><p> At least five (5) years aircraft maintenance experience with at least three (3) years progressive supervisory experience and or two (2) years managerial level experience in aviation quality assurance.</p><p> Certification in Quality Management or a related field</p><p> Post Secondary academic qualifications in Aviation Management, Quality Management, Business Management or a related discipline would be an asset.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p> Strong working knowledge of the TTCAA laws and regulations and industry best practices.</p><p> Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills with an ability to influence key stakeholders towards achieving NHSLs objectives.</p><p> Excellent Analytical and auditing skills.</p><p> Strong supervisory, coaching and conflict resolution skills.</p><p> High degree of integrity, professionalism and corporate spirit.</p><p><br></p>
