Key and Critical Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:<div><br></div><div> Design and development of suitable reports for management.</div><div> Directly assisting on all strategic matters as they relate to budgets, management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.</div><div> Developing and implementing appropriate and relevant organizational policies as needed.</div><div> Overseeing the financial operations/ activities of all related companies, both local and foreign operations.</div><div> Preparation and review of monthly/quarterly Management Accounts and Annual Financial Statements for accuracy and timely submission to management/Board of Directors.</div><div> Appraisal and management of Capital / Project Expenditure; including short- and long-term Cash Flows and Revenue and Expenditure budgets for all related companies.</div><div> Maintenance and monitoring of daily/weekly/monthly cash balances and cash forecasts, as appropriate to ensure sufficient working capital is available to finance the Companies day-to-day operations and to meet its financial commitments.</div><div> Ensuring that appropriate and complete monthly management accounts and Annual Financial Statements for all related companies are available at the specified timeline to assist management in making timely business decisions: and for other stakeholders of the companies eg Banks, Board of Inland Revenue, etc.</div><div> Developing and or updating existing Financial/Accounting policies and procedures, as necessary in line with changes in the Companies operating activities.</div><div> Preparing Financial Reports for all Subsidiaries and foreign operations. Preparing consolidated reports for the Group of Companies.</div><div> Assisting in formulating the Companys Strategic /Business and or Financing Plans, as appropriate for future guidance and direction.</div><div> Contracting outsourced services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments and other financial needs.</div><div> Developing appropriate performance indicators to support and interpret performance measurement that support the companys strategic direction.</div><div> Assisting the management team in implementing operational best practices.</div><div> Assisting management in understanding and mitigating key elements of the companys exposure to risks.</div><div> Assist management in the Design, Implementation, and monitoring appropriate Internal Control Systems for all related companies and to monitor its effectiveness on a regular basis.</div><div> Maintenance of a schedule of Insurances and ensuring the all of the Companies Assets are adequately covered, including workmens compensation, life insurance etc.</div><div> Ensuring that the company compiles with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.</div><div> Maintaining relations with external auditors and investigating their findings and recommendation.</div><div> Arranging for debt and equity financing.</div><div> Interpretation of Financial Statements ratios.</div><div> Preparation of Annual Budgets for approval by the board.</div><div><br></div><div>Timelines:</div><div> Monthly Management Accounts by the 7th of the following month.</div><div> Annual Financial Statements by the 21st of the following month.</div><div> Annual Budget by December 15th for the next financial year.</div><div> Other information requested by management at specified date</div>
