Job Description
The Accountant would be responsible for maintaining financial records and systems in accordance with IFRS; controls and co-ordinates systems and procedures to ensure efficient recording of the Companys financial transactions; prepares accounting plans, budgets and cash forecasts.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
1. Maintain financial records and systems in accordance with IFRS, prepare monthly management reports, annual financial statements and special reports.<div><br></div><div>2. Control and co-ordinate systems and procedures to ensure efficient recording of the Companys financial transactions.</div><div><br></div><div>3. Assist in the preparation of accounting plans and budget as required.</div><div><br></div><div>4. Ensure effective cash management.</div><div><br></div><div>5. Supervise accounting staff.</div><div><br></div><div>6. Continuously review the accounting system to keep it in line with the current demands of the Company.</div><div><br></div><div>7. Ensure compliance with Regulatory Reporting.</div><div><br></div><div>8. Ensure compliance with Statutory obligations.</div><div><br></div><div>9. Ensure compliance with the State Performance Monitoring Manual.</div><div><br></div><div>10. Liaise with internal and external auditors.</div><div><br></div><div>11. Complete Performance Appraisals for each staff member as required for review by the Finance &amp; Accounting Manager.</div><div><br></div><div>12. Perform any other duties as required to ensure that the Department functions effectively.</div><div><br></div>
