Job Description
The General Manager is the chief executive responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational management and governance support to the Trinidad and Tobago Association for the Hearing Impaired (TTAHI). Reporting to the Board of Directors, the incumbent will lead the implementation of the Association's strategic objectives, ensure organizational sustainability and oversee the effective delivery of educational, clinical and support services.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and operational direction in accordance with the Association's mission, vision and strategic plan.<div>Advise and support the Board of Directors in governance, policy implementation and strategic decision-making.</div><div>Oversee the financial management of the Association, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, internal controls and resource stewardship.</div><div>Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, government funding, procurement and reporting requirements.</div><div>Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of organizational policies, programmes and performance management systems.</div><div>Direct the management of human resources, including recruitment, employee development, succession planning and performance management.</div><div>Oversee the delivery of educational and clinical services, including the Cascade School for the Deaf and the Audrey Jeffers School for the Deaf.</div><div>Foster productive relationships with government agencies, donors, partners, stakeholders and the wider community.</div><div>Identify and manage organizational risks while promoting continuous improvement, innovation and accountability.</div><div>Ensure the effective management of the Association's facilities, assets, information systems and operational resources.</div>
