Job Description
<p><b>ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT</b></p><p>An employee I this class cleans schools, government officers and other public buildings and their immediate surroundings and performs a variety of other simple tasks, which can be readily learnt on the job. As duties are routine and repetitive, employee performs them with little or no supervision and instructions. However, work is reviewed by a superior through inspections and general observations.&nbsp;</p>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<p>Seeps, mops, scrubs, and polishes all floors, dusts and polishes furniture, cleans lavatories, and washes basins and replenishes soap and toilet paper.</p><p></p><div>Empties dust-bins and wastepaper baskets, cobwebs garages and main building as required, also cleans glass windows and performs similar cleaning duties.</div><div><br></div><div>Opens and closes buildings, including health offices and clinics, also moves furniture and equipment as required.</div><div><br></div><div>Performs related work as required.</div><div><br></div><div><b>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</b></div><div>Some knowledge of cleaning methods and materials.</div><div>Ability to follow simple, oral, and written instructions.</div><div>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</div><div>Physical strength to withstand long hours of work.</div><div><br></div><p></p>
Key Competencies
Training as evidenced by the possession of a Primary School Leaving Certificate.
