<b>JOB SUMMARY</b><div><br></div><div>We are looking for a seasoned procurement professional who is driven, solution-oriented and can work independently. He/She will also supervise a small team of procurement staff, coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, supplies and services; optimizing cost, process and time to support effective operations throughout the Company in compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act 2015, Regulations, Handbooks, Guidelines, and the Company's policies and procedures.&nbsp; This job is a contract position for one year.</div><div><br></div>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ul><li> Acquire materials, equipment supplies, and services in compliance with the PPAPPA 2015, the Regulations, and the Comprehensive Handbook on Procurement Retention &amp; Disposal.</li><li> Negotiate with suppliers on behalf of the organization.</li><li>Conduct Internal and External networking with customers and suppliers to derive beneficial relationships for the Company.&nbsp;</li><li> Implement strategies to develop capabilities of local suppliers of material, equipment, and supplies.</li><li>Conduct ongoing research into Inventory management technology and keep abreast with developments in the field of Supply Chain Management.</li><li> Review, evaluate and recommend changes to policies, procedures, and practices related to the procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies.</li><li>Provide technical and business guidance to subordinates and customers.</li><li>Implement Change management strategies as designed.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of Staff development plans.</li><li>Provides inputs into departmental budgets and monitor and control utilization.</li><li> Implement approved changes in policies and procedures</li><li>Build and maintain a harmonious and productive work team</li><li>Ensure that the Budget is optimized to meet fiscal targets.</li><li>Perform other related tasks as instructed by the Procurement Manager</li></ul>
Key Competencies
<b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</b><ul><li>First Degree in Management or a related field and Level 5 Advance Diploma in Procurement and Supply.</li><li> Knowledge of Contract Administration.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><b>WORK EXPERIENCE</b></div><ul><li>At least eight (8) years of experience in procurement, with five (5) years at a senior level.</li><li> Three (3) years of experience in procurement in the public sector</li></ul><div><br></div><div><b>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</b></div><ul><li> High sense of discretion and urgency</li><li> Ability to work independently or as part of a team</li><li> Solution-focused, takes initiative to ensure self and team work effectively within established guidelines and timeframes</li><li> Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders</li><li> Proven ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders and board members</li><li> Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office</li><li> Ability to build trust, credibility and effective working relationships with all levels of staff</li></ul>
