Job Description
The incumbent is required to provide support to the Facilities Maintenance Technician in the areas of Facilities Maintenance Services and work independently on tasks of a routine nature.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
Assist the Facilities Maintenance Technicians in the physical movement of stock items including furniture and equipment.<div>Assist the Facilities Maintenance Technicians in installation of Other Minor Equipment and Furniture.</div><div>Assist the Facilities Maintenance Technicians in conducting of repairs of minor defects to Other Minor Equipment items and Furniture and Finishings.</div><div>Conduct routine checks on facility components in the Ministry's Head Office Building and Maintenance Division Sackville Street Office to ensure optimal operability of plant and equipment.</div><div>Report to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor/Technicians of any defects that require service/maintenance of systems/equipment/furniture.</div><div>Assist the Facilities Maintenance Technicians with conducting routine checks or other action to ensure that the Head Office Building meets compliance to the necessary health and safety standards.</div><div>Provide a presence, when required, during project exercises to assist in the movement of furniture and to ensure security of the Ministry's assets.</div><div>Assist in preparing Multi-Purpose Hall and Conference Rooms for meetings and other events.</div><div>Performs any other related duties as required.</div><div><br></div>

Knowledge of standard tools, methods, practices and materials of one or more trade.<div>Ability to take and follow directions from supervisors.</div><div> Ability to communicate with a wide range of people.</div><div><b><u>MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:</u></b></div><div>School Leaving certificate or its equivalent and any combination of experience and training. Experience in handling and repairing light machines hydraulic trolley, vacuum cleaner, power washer etc.</div><div>Experience in construction works carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical.</div><div>Experience in repairing general ledger such as log book and requisition orders.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>
