Job Description
<p>The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall management of TADCO. The incumbent is required to ensure that the company's financial, strategic and operational goals and objectives are achieved. The CEO is accountable to the Board of Directors in that regard. The CEO is required to champion TADCO's business development and provide visionary and inspirational leadership to the company's employees, who are motivated to pursue and achieve TADCO's vision, mission and strategic goals and objectives. Additionally, the CEO will work in partnership with the Board and staff to refine and adjust the operational modality of the company to ensure continued excellence in pursuit of both its short-term and long-term strategic targets.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have the following specifications:</p><p> Training as evidenced by a recognized University Degree in Business Management, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or a closely related field.</p><p> An MBA or post graduate qualification in Business Management or a related field.</p><p> Minimum of ten (10) years' experience at upper management level in a food processing/ manufacturing company.</p><p> Any equivalent combination of experience and training.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
1. Ensures the availability of a Strategic Plan and Business Plan, approved by the company's Board of Directors, and coordinates the implementation of programmes and projects contained therein.<div>2. Ensures TADCO's day-to-day operations and the company's overall growth and development are aligned with the strategic positioning and goals and objectives enunciated in the company's Strategic Plan and Business Plan.</div><div>3. Builds cohesion and consensus amongst department heads and other lead professionals at TADCO to ensure strategic end goal-oriented thinking permeates the company, and there is compliance with approved protocols and procedures.</div><div>4. Evaluates and reports on TADCO's performance on a departmental and overall basis using measurable indicators.</div><div>5. Evaluates, documents and reports on activities, outputs and outcomes of the company in keeping with directives of the Board of Directors. Receives feedback from same and follow through as directed or in keeping with best practices.</div><div>6. Ensures that TADCO meets all its statutory and fiduciary responsibilities.</div><div>7. Pursues within the context of an overarching policy approved by the Board of Directors, corporate social responsibility initiatives to the extent that same could positively impact TADCO's profitability, as well as its corporate, social and brand image.</div><div>8. In partnership with the Board of Directors and staff and in recognition of the dynamic nature of the business environment, keep TADCO's vision and operations under constant review, refining and adjusting as necessary to ensure TADCO continues to excel in reaching both its short-term and long-term strategic goals.</div><div>9. Develops and implement proposals for the sustainability of TADCO, its activities, corporate image. and its socio-economic import.</div><div>10. Performs other duties associated with the office of CEO and as directed by the Board of Directors.</div><div><br></div>
