That the company is fully compliant with the ISPS Code, and Port facility requirements such as Statement of Compliance, Port Facility Security Assessment (PFSA) and Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) documentation, verifications and approvals are valid and in place.<span work="" sans";="" letter-spacing:="" 0.3pt;="" background-image:="" initial;="" background-position:="" background-size:="" background-repeat:="" background-attachment:="" background-origin:="" background-clip:="" initial;"="" style="transition-property: all; font-size: 11.5pt;">Key liaison interface with all relevant internal/external authorities, including Ops Room CCTV personnel, including OSH Administration Agency/Authorities, Trinidad &amp; Tobago Police Service, Trinidad &amp; Tobago Coast Guard, Customs &amp; Excise Division, and all other related as/and when required etc.

Key and Critical Responsibilities

Ensuring the development maintenance and co-ordination of the Port Facility Security Plan and the company is compliant, inclusive of recommending and incorporating modifications in order to, correct deficiencies and to update the plan taking into account relevant changes in the company/industry.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensuring conduct of regular security inspections upon the port facility with the required vigilance to safeguard the companys property/assets and personnel and ensure adherence to established HSE/safety and security rules regulations and measures and that&nbsp;safe work practices are followed by all persons.&nbsp;&nbsp;Also oversee divisional personnel to ensure that premises and work areas of the port facility are free of hazards to health, safety and welfare of employees.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>Ensuring that spot checks of employees, vehicles, visitors, clients and all parcels/containers are conducted when entering or departing from facility to safeguard against theft or any type of loss, and as per Customs &amp; Excise Regulations. &nbsp;Confirm identities of all visitors to facility/ships.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>Oversees and ensures the conduct of Risk Assessments (DRAs inclusive) as and when required and provides recommendation for elimination or reduction of risks to ensure maximum protection of employee health, safety security and welfare.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>Ensuring reporting/recording of all accidents/incidents as within required timeframes (and to the relevant authorities).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Documenting of infractions against OSH and other legislation as well as rules &amp; regulations applicable to security and safety on the port facility and all visitors/workers.Ensuring and carrying out adequate training of Safety, Security and other personnel of the port facility (ISPS Code awareness, Emergency Response Preparedness, other drills and exercises inclusive) and that Induction and orientation is conducted for all new hires, visitors and contractors.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>Overseeing/ensuring the conduct of atmospheric testing and&nbsp;monitoring of tanks and confined spaces and the issuance of gas clearance certificates (monitoring/investigating the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, emergency response equipment and personal protective equipment inclusive) to ensure the safety and health of all workers on projects/tasks.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>Delivery of reports concerning observations of contaminants (all environmental concerns arising inclusive) and recommendations for related control and corrective action.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>Coordinating and liaising with national security/safety services and relevant authorities when required.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>Screening of potential candidates/applicants for related employment.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>

Key Competency

Candidate must have a First degree or post graduate diploma in Security Management OR evidence of any combination of certification in Security Administration/Maritime Security, ISPS Training, Ship and Port Facility Security Training (IMO/PFSO inclusive) NEBOSH/OSH (OSH 500 Training courses inclusive).&nbsp; Alternatively, 10 to 15 years Military or Coast Guard Service.
