Job Description
Operationally manages the functions of the Pharmacy Inventory Management System using computerised applications and carry out the functions of Procurement and Distribution, warehousing and inventory for the maintenance of proper supply chain functions throughout the SWRHA, which includes hospitals, District Health facilities and health centres.<div><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">The Authority reserves the right to assign the officer to any Facility under its management.</span></div><div><br></div>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ul><li>Manages the operational functions of Procurement and Distribution process as well as the Pharmacy computer system within a framework of legal, professional, departmental, Hospital and financial policies and procedures. </li><li>Maintains perpetual inventory account using computerized record keeping; completes periodic reports for Finance.</li><li>Assists in physical verification of stock annually and periodically, investigating discrepancies and updating manual and computerized records.</li><li>Monitors and performs stock expiry and expired stock reporting/recalling with relevant reports.</li><li>Oversees Pharmacy Assistants and clerical staff based in the section.</li><li>Provides performance indicators for procurement and distribution for audit purposes.</li><li>Undertakes Personal Development Reviews of staff and participate in ongoing training of staff in the section.</li><li>Reconciles NIPDEC C40 report to the actual Delivery Notes (DN) at each Pharmacy Location to ensure the stock actually received as per DN is the same as that recorded on the NIPDEC C40s report.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts periodic or special Inventory Audit and reconciles physical count.&nbsp;</li><li>Develops record keeping procedures and manages appropriate department records in accordance with applicable Regulations and Policy Standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Determines and implements maximum/minimum stock level to ensure adequate stock at all times.&nbsp;</li><li>Designs and implements an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control process.&nbsp;</li><li>Compiles statistical data and prepares reports, such as monthly and quarterly statistics as required.</li></ul>
Key Competencies
<ul><li>BSc Degree in Pharmacy or a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised University.&nbsp;<ul></ul></li><li>Certification in Inventory Management</li><li>Possesses a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience in a Pharmacy.</li><li>Registration with the Pharmacy Board of Trinidad and Tobago</li><li>Current Practising Certificate from the Pharmacy Board of Trinidad and Tobago.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any other software platform.</li></ul>
