Job Description
The Picture Archive Computerized Assistant will be responsible for the safe and careful processing of Digital and Non-Digital X-Ray films resulting in the delivery of a high quality service.<div><br></div><div>The Authority reserves the right to assign the officer to any Facility under its management.</div><div><br></div>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ul><li>Performs Quality Assurance testing of equipment as required by the Quality Assurance Program.<ul></ul></li><li>Collates printed images with appropriate requests and film envelopes for distribution to patients.</li><li>Maintains the digital processors, automatic film processors, other darkroom accessories and the environment ensuring all equipment are clean and dust free</li><li>Assists the Radiographers with minor clerical duties during the evening and night shifts.</li><li>Maintains darkroom facilities and ensures equipment is ready for use at all times.</li><li>Ensures stock levels are at an adequate level.</li><li>Works within the health &amp; safety guidelines thus providing an efficient service.</li><li>Monitors temperature and levels of chemicals and water on a regular and timely basis.</li><li>Reports and documents all darkroom equipment faults and ensures that remedial action is implemented.</li><li>Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.</li><li>Performs related work as required.</li><li>Adheres to all Hospital and departmental procedures and policies.</li></ul>
Key Competencies
<ul><li>Evidence of completion of a minimum of three (3) years secondary education.<ul></ul></li><li>Experience in working in a photographic laboratory or any equivalent combination of experience and training.</li><li>Evidence of completion of computer literacy course.</li></ul>
