Job Description
The incumbent is required to perform a variety of clerical/secretarial and administrative support duties of limited&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">complexity. Work involves assisting in the planning and management of meetings; opening, sorting and routing of mail;&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">maintaining records and files; performing routine accounting duties and generating a wide variety of documents&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">utilising appropriate software. Depending on the assignment, the incumbent may be required to perform some or the&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">full range of the duties of this position.&nbsp;</span>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
Provides administrative support by coordinating meetings, workshops, and travel arrangements, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing related correspondence and follow-up actions. Maintains efficient office operations through document management, record-keeping, inventory control, and the preparation of reports, spreadsheets, and routine financial documents. Also supports accounting and budgeting tasks, handles inquiries from callers and visitors, and performs general office duties using standard office equipment and software.
Key Competencies
<p>Demonstrates knowledge of modern office practices and basic Public Service procedures, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems, including e-Government platforms and online research tools. Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prepare professional documents and perform basic numerical tasks, and effectively operates standard office equipment. Able to work collaboratively, maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and the public, and use initiative to resolve routine work-related issues.</p><p><b><i>MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: </i></b></p><p> Five (5) CXC/GCE O Level passes, including English Language and Mathematics.&nbsp;</p>
