Job Description
The incumbent is required to perform a variety of complex clerical/secretarial and administrative&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">support duties. Work involves the performance of office management functions; assisting in strategy&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">and work programme planning and implementation; undertaking follow-up activities as required and&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">performing secretarial duties for managerial/professional and technical staff. Duties also include the&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">supervision of employees engaged in the performance of related duties. Depending on the&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">assignment, the incumbent may be required to perform some or the full range of the duties of this&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">position.</span>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
Supervises and guides clerical and administrative staff by assigning, reviewing, and supporting work activities while coordinating meetings, workshops, and conferences. Manages office operations including correspondence, filing systems, travel arrangements, supplies, and equipment, and prepares or oversees the preparation of reports, spreadsheets, and complex documentation. Also supports managerial staff through research, data analysis, budget preparation, calendar management, and general administrative coordination.
Key Competencies
Possesses considerable knowledge of modern office practices, office management principles, and relevant Public Service and financial regulations. Demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, computer applications, and e-Government platforms, with the ability to prepare professional documents, conduct research, and apply effective problem-solving skills. Capable of planning, organizing, supervising, and mentoring staff while communicating effectively, fostering teamwork, and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and the public.
