Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: <div>Co-ordinates the activities of the NLCBs Tobago Office, ensuring that Agents and vendors comply with the terms of their contractual agreements and that company resources are optimally utilized at all times. Responsible for the accounting and administrative functions, supervises customer relations / service provided by the Operations Assistant I, and acts as the Boards representative in Tobago. </div><div><br></div>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ul><ul><ul><li>Prepares monthly reports on Tobago Branch operations for the Director.</li><li>Maintains and ensures overall security of the Tobago Branch</li><li>Authorizes payments to customers</li><li>Signs cheques</li><li>Prepares banking daily</li><li>Prepares and submits reports on all payments to Financial Comptroller on a daily basis</li><li>Makes weekly deposits to First Citizens Bank via Security firm.</li><li>Interviews applicants for Instant Money Game (IMG) agencies; advises prospective agents about the benefits of being an agent and recommends suitable applicants to the Director for the agency.</li><li>In the absence of ACRO -Tobago, assists agents with billing queries, implements stipulated accounting measures to reduce billing problems.&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Assigns additional duties to Operations Assistant I as required.</span></li><li><ul><li> Maintains office stock and prepares requisitions for stationary and general office/kitchen supplies. </li><li> Arranges document transfers to NLCBs Port-of-Spain office via TTPOST- once or twice weekly as is practicable </li><li> Ensures the Operations Assistant I activates and deactivates On-Line terminal daily. </li><li> Maintains and submits a time and attendance register monthly to the HR Unit. </li><li> Prepares a record of the cleaners attendance for faxing, along with a copy of the payment voucher; also sends the original by mail to NLCBs Port-of-Spain office. </li><li> Represents The National Lotteries Control Board at Functions and social events as required. </li><li> Performs other related duties as required. </li><li><br></li></ul><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div></li></ul></ul></ul>

<p>KNOWLEDGE: </p><p> Knowledge of basic Accounting procedures for business. </p><div> Knowledge of Public Administration.</div><div><br></div><div> </div><div>SKILLS AND&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">ABILITIES</span></div><div> Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. </div><div> Skill in the use of personal computers. </div><div> Skill in writing and editing, including a strong command of English. </div><div> Strong report writing skills. </div><div> Ability to use the internet for research purposes. </div><div> Ability to solve problems and work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines.</div><div>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</div><div> </div><div> Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external partners. </div><div> Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. </div><div><br></div><div>MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: </div><div> BSc in Social Sciences such as Management/ Business Administration or Accounting or a related field. </div><div> At least five (5) years work experience with experience at the supervisory level being an asset. </div><div> Equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered. </div><div><br></div><p></p>
