Job Description
<p>The incumbent is responsible for performing research activities, policy development and writing reports to provide information that will facilitate informed decision-making in the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.</p>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li>Conduct research and planning activities for policy development and implementation, including collecting, collating and analyzing socio economic data in general and policing data in particular.</li><li>Provide source data for the development and implementation of the strategic and business plans of the TTPS.</li><li>Interprets research data for the formulation of planning policies.</li><li>Develop, review and update policies and processes to ensure continuous improvement and ongoing relevance.</li><li>Researches, prepare and present reports on crime statistics, innovations and projects to relevant Units and Divisions.</li><li>Prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders, including formal reports to Parliament and Joint Select Committees (JSCs), ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with TTPS objectives.</li><li>Develop procedures to test and validate the accuracy and completeness of data collected.</li><li>Keeps abreast of regional and international trends in policing activities.</li><li>Liaise with national security agencies and external stakeholders to support effective collaboration and information exchange.</li><li>Participate in meetings, stakeholder consultations and projects as assigned.</li><li>Design and conduct surveys.</li><li>Maintain data records.</li></ul><p> </p>
