Job Description
<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">The Financial Management Analyst will be responsible for planning, organising, and developing strategies and projects in relation to the Division's financial management and research. The incumbent will develop financial and business policies; propose changes to increase efficiency; organise all expenditure into categories; and maintain a database of scheduled costs. In addition, the incumbent will be required to produce financial statements inclusive of cash flow statements to allow management to make informed decisions.</span></div>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Designs accounting and cost accounting procedures and an adequate reporting system, including forms, documents, schedules, and statements; and develops financial and other controls to ensure proper recording of transactions.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Sets up financial and other controls to ensure efficiency and economy, the prevention of fraud, and advises on financial accounting and auditing issues.</li><li style="text-align: justify; ">Maintains general books of accounts such as cash books, voucher books, general ledgers, and journals for matters relating to lease/rental and state-owned property.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Services loan payments for the construction and outfitting of Government buildings.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Accounts for funds allocated under the Development Fund and the Infrastructure Development Fund.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Analyses and monitors compliance with financial, reporting, and legal requirements.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Performs budgetary work, cost accounting, and analyses and prepares financial reports and statements inclusive of cash flow statements.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align: justify; ">Analyses forms, correspondence, audit reports, and other records for completeness and accuracy to determine sufficiency of information and compliance with prescribed regulations.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Participates in, and/or assists with strategic financial analysis and planning processes.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Participates in the implementation of financial action plans.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Performs other related duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul>
