Job Description
Our organisation is seeking qualified <u><b>Trinidad and Tobago nationals</b></u> to fill the position of Audit Assistant.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<p>Candidates would be required to:</p><p> </p><div> Assist with the preparation and execution of internal audit plans and audit engagements. </div><div> Collect, review and analyse financial and operational data to support audit testing. </div><div> Prepare and maintain audit documentation and evidence in accordance with auditing standards. </div><div> Assist in evaluating internal controls, compliance with policies and procedures, and identifying risks and control gaps. </div><div> Support the preparation of audit reports, including summarising findings and recommendations. </div><div> Maintain audit records, logs and databases to ensure accuracy and completeness. </div><div> Stay informed on emerging audit trends, tools and best practices. </div><div> Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors are required. </div><div> Perform all other related duties. </div><div><br></div><p></p>
Key Competencies
<p>Candidates would be required to have:</p><p> </p><div> Basic knowledge of auditing principles, internal controls and risk management practices; </div><div> Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting; </div><div> Familiarity with audit methodology sampling techniques; and documentation standards; </div><div> Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel; </div><div> Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills; </div><div> Good written and verbal communication skills; </div><div> High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.</div><div><br></div><div> </div><div>Successful candidates should possess:</div><div><br></div><div> </div><div> Must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline; </div><div> Professional, recognised accounting or audit qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIA, CMA, CISA); </div><div> A minimum of four (4) years experience in accounting, finance, auditing or risk management, preferably within a government or regulatory environment.</div><div><br></div><div> </div><div>Please submit your Curriculum Vitae to EmployTT along with two (2) references from persons who are not members of your family.</div><div><br></div><div> </div><div>Prospective candidates are also required to include a passport size photo with their application. </div><div><br></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><p></p>
