Job Description
The Senior Compliance Auditor and Compliance Auditor reports to the Compliance Auditing Manager of the Registrar Generals Department. The Unit contributes to the achievement of the Registrar Generals Department goals and objectives, by establishing and maintaining a robust monitoring and compliance system to ensure adherence to policies, procedures and performance standards by all Units and staff.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<div>- Works with the Compliance Auditing Manager to develop, implement and maintain effective compliance policies, programmes, systems and controls Registrar Generals Department in keeping with the rules, policies, procedures and performance standards. </div><div>- Monitors and reviews compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness. </div><div>- Creates various types of audit reporting formats to be approved by the Registrar General. </div><div>- Prepares an annual audit plan (with built in flexibility) for the Unit for the approval of the Registrar General. </div><div>- Supervises the systems audit and quality compliance team through communication and performance management. </div><div>- Develops and assigns work schedules to the Compliance Auditors and monitors their performance. </div><div>- Reviews non-compliance issues and recommends remedial action plans to the Compliance Auditing Manager. </div><div>- Provides Compliance Auditing Manager with regular reports regarding compliance related activities and initiatives relevant to units and their operations, and monitors to ensure the implementation of action plans to address compliance deficiencies. </div><div>- Maintains good working relationships with all stakeholders. </div><div>- Ensures customer feedback informs service delivery and continuous improvements. </div><div>- Provides support on compliance-related projects and initiatives. </div><div>- Implements performance standards for the Systems Audit and Quality Compliance Unit, and monitors same to determine whether standards are being maintained. </div><div>- Provides training for the team on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures. </div><div>- Evaluates staff performance in keeping with organisational-wide policies and procedures. </div><div>- Provides analytical reports on operational Units compliance with rules, policies, procedures and performance standards, as required by the Registrar General. </div><div>- Provides analytical reports to departments and units as directed by the Registrar General. </div><div>- Contributes to the Registrar Generals Department Annual Report. </div><div>- Attends meetings and sits on Committees as required by the Registrar General. </div><div>- Performs related duties as may be required.</div>
