<div>The CEO is accountable for the safe, reliable and financially sound operation of the company and for delivering the Board-approved strategy.</div><div><br></div><div>Trinidad Generation Unlimited (TGU), a state-owned independent power producer and a key contributor to Trinidad and Tobago's electricity supply, is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next strategic chapter.</div><div><br></div><div>Reporting to the Chairman and Board of Directors, the CEO is accountable for the safe, reliable and financially sound operation of the company and for delivering the Board-approved strategy. We are looking for a leader with a proven record of execution: someone who turns strategy into results, owns outcomes personally and holds the executive team to account.</div><div><br></div><div><u><b>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE</b></u></div><div><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;"><br></span></div><ul><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">A Bachelors degree in Engineering (strongly preferred) and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration or management.</span></li><li>At least 15 years experience in power generation or a comparable heavy process industry, including at least 10 years in executive management with full accountability for results.</li><li>Hands-on understanding of plant reliability, turbines, outages and capital projects, and a strong record in HSE and crisis leadership.</li><li>Working financial literacy, including the ability to read and challenge financial statements and capital appraisals.</li><li>Experience in a state enterprise, regulated or unionised environment is an asset. </li></ul><div><br></div>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ul><li>Lead the Executive Team in refreshing and delivering the strategic plan, with clear targets, scorecards and regular reporting to the Board.</li><li>Assure safe, reliable and efficient plant operations, championing a zero-harm culture and leading through operational challenges.</li><li>Direct financial, commercial and risk management, including the company's bond and financing obligations.</li><li>Ensure strong governance and full compliance with the statutory and regulatory requirements of a state enterprise.</li></ul>
