Job Description
<p>The Corporate Services Manager position is an influential strategic leadership role for someone who can connect people, culture, governance and communication to business performance.</p><p><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Trinidad Generation Unlimited (TGU), a state-owned independent power producer and key contributor to the national electricity supply, is seeking an accomplished Corporate Services Manager to join its Executive Team. This is an influential strategic leadership role for someone who can connect people, culture, governance and communication to business performance.</span></p><p><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;"><br></span></p><p><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;"><b><u>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE</u></b></span></p><ul><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">A Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Communications, Social Sciences or an equivalent discipline, together with a relevant postgraduate qualification.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">At least ten (10) years of relevant experience, including a minimum of seven (7) years at management level.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Substantial hands-on industrial relations experience and strong working knowledge of Trinidad and Tobagos employment legislation.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Demonstrated experience developing HR policy, maintaining strong governance and presenting well-evidenced recommendations to a Board or Board committee.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Experience in an industrial, energy or utilities environment is strongly preferred. </span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM or HRCI will be an asset.</span></li></ul>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ul><li>Partner with the C level team and plant leadership to translate business priorities and major projects into practical people and organisational plans.</li><li>Lead Human Resources and Industrial Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Communications and Corporate Administration as integrated, business-enabling functions.</li><li>Navigate grievance, disciplinary and industrial relations matters with sound judgement, fairness and full regard for policy and legislation. Whistleblower matters do not fall within the scope of this roles responsibilities.</li></ul><div><br></div>
