Job Description
<p>The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for the management of a range of quality assurance procedures and provides advice and guidance to university/staff concerning quality assurance systems and their implementation.</p><p><br></p>
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ul><li>Initiates all internal audits and ensures they are conducted in an efficient and timely manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by selecting, orienting, assigning, scheduling and communicating job expectations.</li><li>Planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing management systems; enforcing policies and procedures.</li><li>Develops quality assurance plans by conducting threat analyses; identifying critical control points and preventative measures; establishing critical limits.</li><li>Monitors procedures, corrective actions and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.</li><li>Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, corrective actions and re-validations.</li><li>Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.</li><li>Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.</li><li>Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and professional regulatory requirements.</li><li>Delegates responsible, trained staff, if applicable, to carry out specific audits of training activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Notifies PA management of any deficiencies (findings) in quality system or training activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Documents and monitors corrective actions.&nbsp;</li></ul>

<p><b><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</u></b></p><p><b>KNOWLEDGE;</b></p><ul><li>Is knowledgeable and trained in quality system requirements, including internal audits.</li><li>Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience.</li><li>Experience with implementation of corrective action programmes.</li><li>Product or industry-specific experience.</li><li>Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases.</li><li>Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirement.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in academic quality assurance and administration in an educational context.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</b></p><ul><li>Strong communication skills particularly with regards to writing reports and official documentation.</li><li>Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels especially when dealing with enquiries where English is not the first language.</li><li>Good IT skills including Word, Excel and a knowledge of database and data extraction.&nbsp;</li><li>Able to recognize sensitive and / or confidential information and handle appropriately.&nbsp;</li><li>Identify to management any potential breaches or issues immediately with proposed resolution.</li><li>Experience of planning, organizing and prioritizing own workload, managing multiple deadlines and working autonomously with minimal supervision.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Management, Science, Engineering or any other related field.</li><li>Certifications is an advantage, including Quality Auditor, QMS development and implementation, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma.'</li><li>Project Management Training an asset.&nbsp;</li></ul>
