Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for analyzing user requirements and ensuring the implemented solutions meet user needs; Assisting with the ongoing implementation of new PeopleSoft functionalities, of PeopleSoft application, new business processes within the application, promotes the maintenance of the IhRIS and IGP systems in Ministries/Departments.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ul><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Reviews, analyses and evaluates Payroll end user needs</span></li><li>Prepares detailed Payroll requirements</li><li>Provides support to end users on a number of issues, identify, research and resolve problems. </li><li>Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for end user support.</li><li>Tracks and monitors the problem to ensure timely resolution</li><li>Develop new business processes and prepare business development documents</li><li>Review of new application patches</li><li>Testing of the newly developed functionality</li><li>Prepares the design document for newly developed functionality</li><li>Prepares the design document for newly developed functionality</li><li>Reviews upgraded application against prior version of application, document changes and prepare acceptance test scripts</li><li>Communicate upgraded application changes to Documentation and Training Team<div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div></li></ul>
Key Competencies
<p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p><ul><li>Knowledge of Payroll business process within the Public Service</li><li>Sound knowledge of the PeopleSoft business processes in the IhRIS and IGP systems being utilized in the Public Service</li><li>Ability to develop requirements documents</li><li>Knowledge of the operations of the Accounting Units</li><li>Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in modern human resource management</li><li>Ability to work independently with little supervision, and in a team to accomplish goals</li></ul><p><br></p><p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p><ul><li>A Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field and at least five (5) years' experience in public service Accounting Department,</li></ul><p><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<u style="font-weight: bold;">OR</u></span></p><ul><li>a Certificate in Public Administration and at least ten (10) years' experience in a similar environment</li><li>Experience in implementing and supporting PeopleSoft Global Payroll applications in a Government environment</li></ul><p><br></p>
