Job Description
<div style="text-align: justify;">The Legal Policy/Research Officer is responsible for providing support to the Administrative Review&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Secretariat Department by conducting research mainly around legal and procurement related issues,&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">preparing documents (both legal and non-legal), assisting in the development of policies as well as&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">developing and maintaining a repository for all documents during quasi-judicial proceedings. The role may&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">also be required to provide support to the Office of the Corporate Secretary when needed.</span></div>

Key Competency
<div><b>Education</b></div><div><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) or equivalent</span></div><div>CIPS/ Procurement Certifications would be an asset</div><div>Or</div><div>Any equivalent combination of experience and training</div><div><br></div><div><b>Experience</b></div><div><div>A minimum of 3-4 years experience in a research role</div><div>A minimum of 1-2 years experience in procurement/supply chain management would be an asset</div><div><br></div><div><b>Skills</b></div><div><div>Substantial/In-depth knowledge and understanding of the OPRs business model</div><div>Substantial/In-depth knowledge of the relevant acts and regulations</div><div>Applied/Working knowledge of court procedures/administrative tribunals</div><div>Substantial/In-depth oral and written communication skills</div><div>Substantial/In-depth research skills for multiple available tools (e.g., online library/practitioners text)</div><div>Substantial/In-depth analytical and reasoning skills</div><div>Substantial/In-depth ability to be discrete and confidential</div></div></div>
