Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing strategic education, outreach, and engagement programmes that promote public awareness, participation, and stewardship of Tobagos tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The incumbent leads the development of structured education initiatives, stakeholder partnerships, and community-based programmes that support the Departments mandate and contribute to sustainable heritage management. 
Key and Critical Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic public education and community engagement plans aligned with the Department of Antiquities mandate. <div> Design and coordinate structured heritage education programmes for primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions, in collaboration with the Division of Education, Research and Technology (DERTech) and other relevant stakeholders. </div><div> Lead the planning and delivery of community-based heritage initiatives, including outreach programmes, exhibitions, commemorative activities, and heritage awareness campaigns. </div><div> Establish and maintain partnerships with community organisations, NGOs, cultural groups, academic institutions, and private sector stakeholders to support heritage education and engagement. </div><div> Coordinate volunteer and community participation initiatives that encourage local stewardship of heritage sites and cultural practices.</div><div> </div><div>Develop communication and engagement strategies utilising traditional and digital media platforms to increase public awareness and participation. </div><div> Provide guidance and technical support to communities and stakeholders on heritage interpretation, education, and engagement practices. </div><div> Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness and impact of education and engagement programmes, using performance indicators and feedback mechanisms. </div><div> Prepare programme reports, briefing notes, and recommendations for the Director and senior management. </div><div> Supervise and support assigned staff and programme teams, ensuring effective delivery of outputs and adherence to established standards. </div><div> Contribute to departmental planning, reporting, and performance management processes. </div><div> Performs other duties related to the core functions of the position.</div>
