Job Description
To plan and oversee the implementation and completion of enterprise-wide projects undertaken by the Authority, specifically, the design and implementation of a business intelligence solution.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
<ol><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Manage the assigned project(s) to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Prepare and monitor project plans/milestones and/or realign project schedules to accommodate unforeseen delays.</span></li><li>Establish and implement project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.</li><li>Collect, analyse, and summarize information and trends as needed to prepare fortnightly project status reports.</li><li>Meet with the Authority's clients to clarify and finalize specific requirements of the Business Intelligence Solution based on the project scope.</li><li>Coordinate resources and activities for the execution of projects.</li><li>Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track the progress of projects assigned.</li><li>Measure and track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to analyze the successful completion of project goals.</li><li>Identify and advise on any project management issues that may negatively impact the success of the project(s) assigned.</li><li>Alert the Manager/Committees to scope changes and cost issues, potential risks and issues as they arise.</li><li>Establish and manage relationships with the Authority's project-related stakeholders.</li><li>Identify potential project risks and promptly bring them to the attention of the Executive Officer, along with proposed mitigation measures for potential project risks.</li><li>Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and project-related files (i.e. electronic or otherwise).</li><li>Monitor and maintain budgetary objectives for the project assigned and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.</li><li>Monitor the project(s) to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of implementation.</li><li>Provide a Handover Report on completion of the project assignment.</li><li>Prepare a post-mortem report subsequent to the successful completion of the solution</li><li>Comply with the HSE policy &amp; procedures of the Authority and cooperate with workplace health and safety measures and initiatives.</li><li>T<span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">ake reasonable care for own safety and the safety of others and report all accidents, injuries, near misses and hazards to Manager/Supervisor.</span></li><li>Perform any other related duties that may be required for the successful implementation of the Business Intelligence Solution and as required by job function.</li></ol>
Key Competencies
<b>Qualifications and Experience </b><ol><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology or related field.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Accredited Project Management certification.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Minimum (5) years' experience in project management.</span></li><li><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Experience in managing IT projects, business intelligence/data analytics solutions, and/or experience in the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors will be considered an asset.</span></li></ol><div><br></div><div><b>Core Competencies Professional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b></div><div><span style="letter-spacing: 0.4px;">Knowledge of:</span></div><ol><li>Project Management software applications and tools </li><li>Knowledge of business intelligence/data analytics solutions</li></ol><p>Skills and Abilities:</p><ol><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Project, Word and Excel. </li><li>Strong analytical skills </li><li>Ability to provide and support a vision and direction. </li><li>Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Excellent organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills. </li><li>Quick-thinking and easily adaptable to the changing needs of the project </li><li>Ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams with understanding and guidance</li></ol>
