Job Description

The Mayaro Rio Claro Regional Corporation is inviting applications for the position of Tourism and Environmental Project Worker on short-term contract. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the regions sustainable development while promoting environmental awareness and tourism during the four-day Easter Weekend. The selected candidate will report to the Principal Medical Officer of Health.

Key and Critical Responsibilities

<ul><li>Conducting Beach Activities: Distribute garbage bags and promote proper waste disposal practices amongst beachgoers&nbsp;</li><li>Delivering Educational content: Provide vital information on environmental sustainability to the public.</li><li>Engaging with Tourists and Locals: Promote the natural beauty of Mayaro by distributing informational material and highlighting MRCRC services.</li><li>Gathering Public Feedback: Conduct Surveys and distribute questionnaires to gather insights on MRCRC initiatives and services</li></ul>

Key Competency

&nbsp;MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Primary School Leaving Certificate or evidence of completing a minimum of three years at the secondary school level.</li><li>Physical fitness with the ability to walk long distances.</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide audience.</li><li>Basic knowledge of environmental practices, such as recycling and conservation.</li><li>Previous experience in tourism or environmental projects is an asset.&nbsp; PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ORGINAL DOCUMENTS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR AUTHENTICATION PURPOSES UPON SUBMISSION.&nbsp; </li></ul>
