Job Description
The incumbent is required to provide support and participate in the implementation of procurement activities and in the provision of related services for the Corporation. Work includes interpreting and applying procurement policies and procedures, conducting research and analyzing procurement data to inform policy development, supervising support staff and providing advice and guidance on procurement related issues.
Key and Critical Responsibilities
Participates in the provision of procurement services in accordance with the relevant legislation, policies, procedures, rules and regulations.<div><br></div><div>Supervises the activities of support staff involved in the provision of the procurement and disposal services.</div><div><br></div><div>Issues tender documents and maintain and update the register of pre-qualified contractors.</div><div><br></div><div>Prepares documentation for pre-tender and site visit meetings</div><div><br></div><div>Implements measures to identify and prevent fraudulent practices.</div><div><br></div><div>Reviews Tender submissions prior to vetting by the Tender Evaluation Committee (TEC)</div><div><br></div><div>Records minutes of the TEC for circulation</div><div><br></div><div>Prepares evaluation reports for approval and signatories of TEC to facilitate Contract Awards</div><div><br></div><div>Solicits quotations and product specifications from suppliers</div><div><br></div><div>Coordinates and schedules the delivery timetable for equipment and service with suppliers/contractors</div><div><br></div><div>Liaises and follows up on the status of issues with internal and external stakeholders to expedite the procurement process and to rectify anomalies and expectations on a timely basis</div><div><br></div><div>Complies status and handover reports upon completion of delivery and acceptance of equipment&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Prepares documents to facilitate payment to suppliers after all checks and balances have been completed</div><div><br></div><div>Adheres to health, safety and environment rules, regulations and guidelines</div><div><br></div><div>Implements measures to identify and prevent fraudulent practices</div><div><br></div><div>Conduct quality control checks to ensure that tender packages, requests for proposals, expression of interest, pre-qualification documentation and other contract deliverables are prepared and dispatched in compliance with contractual arrangements&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Liaises with the Office of Procurement Regulation to obtain advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of procurement and disposal policies, procedures and legislation.</div><div><br></div><div>Provides advice and guidance on matters regarding the application of procurement legislation, policies, procedures, rules and regulations.</div><div><br></div><div>Performs other related duties as required.</div>
